Juerga is the third track from our cd and is the companion piece to Preludio. Juerga, literally meaning "jam", is an exciting piece which brings together the worlds of jazz and flamenco with a little bit of rock n' roll grit. The first half is a blues drawn fom the iconic "All blues" by Miles Davis. The second half goes through a series of variations on traditional flamenco melodies as well as riffs drawn from the rock guitar repertoire. The addition of flamenco footwork and an extended saxophone solo conjure images of a midnight jam session where musicians from the jazz, blues, and flamenco traditions are enthusiastically exchanging riffs.

This album is inspiring and thought provoking. The music is simple yet sublime and has a warm classic feeling reminiscent of 70's soul and early hip-hop; with lyrics like expressionistic poetry. Gypsy Cat Band
